Human Fabric is a consultancy supporting neurodivergent adults and the organisations they work in to understand, embrace, and harness neurodiversity. We guide HR and leaders to create environments where all kinds of minds can perform at their best - with a neuroinclusive culture, systems, spaces, and ways of working. Great minds don't think, or work, alike

Neurodiversity is the natural variation in how human brains think, feel, sense, learn, communicate, and process information. At 15-20% of the population, many neurodivergent adults bring exceptional strengths, unique talents, and divergent thinking - including those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other differences.

At the same time, modern life and work can amplify challenges, especially when environments and expectations don’t align with how someone’s brain works best. The good news is that small shifts can often make a big difference, benefiting individuals and organisations alike.

Common experiences we see include:

  • Miscommunication and misunderstandings
  • Inconsistent performance despite strong capability
  • Overwhelm from competing priorities, changes, or constant context switching
  • Difficulty starting, organising, or finishing certain tasks
  • Exhaustion from overstimulation or spending extra energy "masking"
  • Burnout from pushing through for too long without the right understanding or supports

On the flip side, the benefits of understanding and embracing neurodiversity include:

  • Improved individual wellbeing
  • Harnessing unique strengths and talents
  • More engaged, productive, and collaborative teams
  • Greater innovation, creative problem solving, and less risk of group-think

That’s why we work at two levels — supporting neurodivergent adults directly through coaching, and supporting organisations to create the conditions where neurodivergent people can thrive and teams can benefit from cognitive diversity.

"Understanding neurodiversity isn’t just a nice to have. It’s about making our teams better. Different brains think differently. That’s exactly what we need to solve complex problems, make better decisions, and get the job done well. It’s operational effectiveness, plain and simple."

"I absolutely recommend Jenny as an empathetic and empowering coach. She recently helped me shift my mindset around a tricky issue, and I enjoyed the coaching process a lot. The questions were just the right level of challenging and made me think, helping me gain a greater appreciation of how my ADHD was showing up, as well as the strengths I could bring to the situation. I came away from the session with a more positive outlook and some clear, achievable steps."

About Human Fabric

Human Fabric was founded by Jenny Turner in response to a growing need across New Zealand, Australia, and Asia-Pacific: practical support for neurodivergent adults, and more neuroinclusive workplaces.

As a parent to two neurodivergent children, and discovering her own ADHD in her 40s, Jenny understands what it can be like to feel different and sometimes misunderstood. Yet the diagnosis journey, while important, can be heavily medicalised and focused solely on people's challenges - overlooking the strengths that also come with neurodivergence. Jenny was left with more questions than answers about what ADHD meant, and what support and strategies would actually help.

That experience sparked a deep curiosity about neurodiversity: the unique talents, how different brains work best, and what people need to perform at their best — consistently and sustainably.

With over two decades of experience leading teams in professional services in New Zealand and abroad, Jenny had already seen how workplace practices, cultures, and norms can influence individual and team performance. That insight was further shaped through her MBA, where she connected the evidence on diversity and inclusion with the growing need for innovation, the future of work, and modern leadership practice.

Jenny then immersed herself in researching the emerging, multidisciplinary field of neurodiversity at work, noticing the UK was well ahead in neuroinclusion practice. She trained with International Coaching Federation accredited UK firm Goldmind Academy to become an ADHD-informed coach, attended numerous neurodiversity conferences and courses, and read every neuroinclusion book she could get her hands on.

Bringing together these learnings, Human Fabric was born — drawing from the evidence, best practices, lived experience, and Jenny's 20+ years of leadership experience to help organisations create environments where all types of minds can contribute to their full potential, and to help neurodivergent adults thrive.
