Grounded in team leadership and management
Human Fabric was founded by Jenny Turner to address an emerging opportunity in New Zealand and Australia - the increasing awareness of neurodiversity and it's place in the modern workplace.
With over two decades of experience in professional services, in NZ and abroad, Jenny has led teams with a diverse range of people and working styles. She recognised the need for a better understanding of different brain wirings in the workplace, to more consistently harness people's strengths and foster diversity of thought and creative thinking.
Enlightened through research
This rich career experience was cemented with a Masters in Business (MBA), where Jenny began to appreciate the history and future of work, and how this relates to leadership and management practices. The evidence around the benefits of diversity and inclusion for organisations really resonated, and the idea for Human Fabric was born.
After extensive research on the emerging multi-disciplinary field of neurodiversity in the workplace, it became clear that the UK was at least 10 years ahead of NZ and AU in creating neuroinclusive workplaces, and that Jenny's combined knowledge in both leadership and neurodiversity could help shift the dial.
Enriched with personal insights & ADHD coach training
Jenny and her husband are parents to two energetic boys, both with ADHD and potentially other neurodivergences. In the quest for knowledge to better support them, Jenny realised that she too had ADHD.
Her own journey with a late diagnosis of ADHD revealed a significant lack of holistic support for adults and professionals in this part of the world. The condition felt confusing and it was hard to figure out what approaches would work for her unque brain wiring.
Jenny turned her frustration into action and embarked on training with a UK firm, Goldmind, to become ICF certified as an ADHD coach. Through this, she quickly met other experienced professionals with shared values and aspirations - Jen, Rosie, and others on the way too.
Today, Human Fabric is here to share these combined insights, to help organisations to create the environment for their whole team to thrive, and to help neurodivergent adults to shine.
